All-Star Hoops

Since Karson didn't want to play soccer this year, we found a fall basketball league that he could play on. He was put on a random team with kids he didn't know and Brandon ended up being the coach since no other parent volunteered (that always seems to be the case). They didn't win any games, but they improved each game. There was one game where Karson scored like 20 points! He is quite the player! Good job Karson!

I can't believe that my baby is two years old already. Wow, the time flies by so fast lately. We had a little family party for him. He got some fun stuff. His favorite is the CHUCK truck that he got, he loves it! We are so happy to have Max in our family! We love him so much. He is the sweetest little boy who loves to give lots of hugs and kisses. He says alot of words now...my favorite "Thank you" and "drink of milk please". He makes us laugh all the time. We love him so much!

LOST TOOTH

Paityn lost her first tooth! She pulled it out herself. She showed me and I thought it was a piece of food cuz' it was so small. Then she showed me her mouth. Yep, lost tooth. She was sooooo sad cuz' the tooth fairy forgot to come to her for two days! That tooth fairy must have been really really busy. She finally came and brought her three silver dollars! She was happy!

Halloween

This year for Halloween I chose to stay home and hand out candy while Brandon took the kids around. We went with the neighbors again this year. It's always best to go with friends. Brandon pulled Max around in the wagon that we borrowed from the neighbors. He came back after a short time and then took Max in bike wagon the rest of the time. The kids had fun! I sat on the front porch with the candy and I had Halloween music playing. After that, we went to the in-laws to have soup and rolls. I took the kids and some cousins to a few houses in their neighborhood. They got a bunch more candy, plus some full size candy bars. Good times!

Green Valley 7th Ward Trunk or Treat

Our ward did trunk or treat the saturday before halloween. It was fun! The kids dressed up as a zombie football player, zombie prom queen, mermaid and a karate kid. I dressed up a little, wearing nose rings, and tattoo sleeves. People said they looked real. They all looked so cute! The day before, the kids went trick or treating at Brandon's office at Skywest. They got so much candy. It was Max's first real time going and he was loving it. He'd go up and say "Trick or Treat" and then say "Thank you". It was so cute.

Pumpkin Carving

I invited some neighbors over last minute to carve pumpkins. To my surprise, they all came! We did it in our front yard. It was fun! It got dark too early so Dave DeMarcus went and got his flood light so we could finish our pumpkins. They all turned out really great!

Sunset Express

Lainee decided to do Sunset Express this year. She wasn't going to do it but decided to and had to try out late. Luckily they had an open spot for her. She likes it alot and they do alot of fun performances. So far they have performed at Swiss Days, the school carnival and the Jubilee of Trees. Lots more to come!

Soccer

The girls played soccer again this year. They quite like it! Lainee is the superstar on her team. They all tell her she is the best (she is one grade level older than the other girls because she missed the deadline by 2 days, BOO). She loves playing and is really good. Paityn has gotten alot better and actually gets in there and plays. She made a few goals in her games too! I'm so proud of them!

First day of school

Yay! I always love the first day of school.....not only because the kids are gone ;) but also because they get back to learning and not just playing all day long. Karson is going to Vista and Lainee and Paityn are going to Sunset Elementary. We plan on having the girls go back to Vista next year when Paityn goes all day and I don't have to drive so far multiple times a day. So far they are having fun in school!

Lainee's Baptism

Lainee got baptized! She was soooo excited! Our ward was in charge of the program so I gave a prayer and led the music, grandpa Brown gave the talk and the cousins sang "I like to look for rainbows". They all did a great job. She was the last one so she had to pull the plug from the font. Brandon did a great job baptizing her and confirming her. We are so proud of her!

Lainee's 8th Birthday

Zoo

While we were up in Salt Lake, my sister took us to the Zoo. My kids had a lot of fun seeing all the animals. However, there isn't as many animals as there used to be, which was kind of sad. We went to the bird show, and Max thought it was pretty cool. The birds would fly inches over your head, kinda scary but awesome! We will definetly have to go back. Also while we were up there we went to the Living Aquarium. We saw tons of cool fish. I touched a stingray, kinda freaked me out a little. We also saw some penguins and some sharks. Pretty cool place! (Notice Karson's cheesy face in all the pictures? What's up with that!)

4th of July

We drove up to Salt Lake on the 4th of July and stayed the week up there to find a house to rent! We ended up just getting some fireworks and doing them in front of my sister Wendy's house all by ourselves. They were at a rodeo. It was great, even though it was windy and Brandon had a hard time lighting them up! There were fireworks going off all around us and the sky looked awesome. Max would throw the poppers on the ground and step on them to pop them. So cute! The other kids had fun too! Not too shabby of a night!

Swimming

Summer time means doing a lot of swimming, and what's better, is doing it with friends. The kids love swimming at their grandparents pool. We are so lucky to have a place to swim! Thanks grandma & grandpa!

Pre-School Graduation

I can't believe that Paityn is done with pre-school. I am so happy she had so much fun and we loved her teacher (also a friend). She learned so much and I am really proud of her! Can't wait until kindergarten!

Rollerskating in Mesquite

I took the kids rollerskating with the neighborhood down in Mesquite. The kids had a ton of fun! At first they had a hard time skating, but after awhile they got the hand of it. We will definetly have to do it again!

The Jungle Book

Karson was in the school play at Vista. They did the Jungle Book and he was a wolf. They did a really great job! So proud of him!

Snow Day

Paityn has been telling me for days that it's going to snow. I kept telling her "No it's not". But to my surprise we woke up and she came in yelling that it had snowed. They immediately started getting their snow gear on so they could go out and play. Once they were ready, they ran out and started building their snowman and playing with the neighbors. They loved it! Too bad it melted later that day. Oh well, maybe well get more, or maybe we'll just have to go visit Grandma and Pa Brown in Brianhead so they can play more!

Christmas

The night before christmas we went and drove by the temple on our way to the christmas party. The lights were so pretty. We wanted to take the kids there and get out of the car before christmas, but it was always bad weather when we wanted to go. So we will just have to take them later. Christmas morning we started around 7:30ish. The kids were all so excited to open their presents. This year they pretty much got what they asked for, with the exception of way over priced things. Max got his little slide with basketball hoop on it. He loves it. Karson got a DSi, Lainee got a DS, and Paityn got a pillowpet and baby alive. All in all it was a great day! Also, through the month of December each one of them had their own little bucket full of random acts of service they had to do each day. They were so excited to do them each day! On christmas eve we stuck them in a gift box as our present for Jesus. I highly recommend you doing this with your family as we will continue to do so with ours!

On Christmas Eve we went over to Grandma and Grandpa McMullin's house. We had a yummy dinner and then exchanged presents. The kids had fun, but by the time it was the adults turn to open presents they were all pooped out. We opened ours but then left before we saw anyone else open theirs. I makes for a really long night! Thanks gma and gpa for all you gave us, we love you!

Gingerbread house making

This year I didn't want to make any huge houses or make any dough, so we made our houses out of gingerbread graham crackers. We used regular frosting but as you can see, it didn't hold up to well. Grandma and Grandpa Brown were there to make them with us and we were happy they could be there. We love when they come to visit! Next year we will try something different!

Brown Family Christmas Party

This year we had the Brown Family Christmas Party at my church building, since there are too many of us to do it anywhere else. My mom made the whole dinner by herself, not asking anyone to help her (she almost passed out). Next year we are all pitching in no matter what she says. We played some games, exchanged gifts and of course played basketball. It was alot of fun (Kim and fam, we missed ya). I can't wait until we party it up again. Being with family is the best!

Paityn's Pre-School Program

Paityn and her school, Cherry Tree Preschool, performed at the Coral Desert Rehabilitation Center. The did some christmas songs and did a part they memorized to the book "The night before christmas". It was really cute! As you can see, Max enjoyed it too!

WOW, time flies. I can't believe that Max is already one! He is such a joy to have around, we all love him so much. He had his very own cake. He got a little mad because the candle burned him (sorry), but once he tasted his cake he was all good. He loved the frosting! Opening presents was tough because he was so tired and wanted to go to bed, so he was not happy! Happy 1st Max, we love you!

Ballet Recital

Lainee has been taking Ballet through her school Vista and loves it. She is quite good! All the other kids look to her to see what to do! Not to mention, she is the cutest one out there! She also did a play for her musical theatre class. She was one of the Narrators and did a great job!

Lainee had her 7th birthday on August 3rd. I can't believe she is that old already! I gave her a surprise party with her friends at grandma and grandpa McMullin's pool. For father's day we made Brandon a candy bar card. It was pretty cheesy, but I thought it was cute! The kids colored ties for him at chuch and wrote a message on the back telling him they love him. Brianhead

We went to Brianhead over the 4th of July weekend. My sister that lives in Texas came up, so the whole family came. Brandon's family even came up and stayed on their lot in trailers and tents. We went and saw this old broken down bus and just had to take pictures. Brandon and Adam went crazy and got on top and started singing "Schools out for summer". I thought the roof was going to cave in. We have a crazy family! It was pretty fun. We watched the fireworks up there too! They were great! We had a ton of fun with the fam! While we were up there, Max started crawling and he hasn't stopped since!

We decided to take the kids on a little suprise day trip and went to Zions. The kids had never been there before. They thought the tunnel was pretty cool and then we went to the animal museum thing and they tried on different park outfits. Brandon then took the kids on a hike while I stayed with Max (who took a nap in the car). They had fun. I think we'll go back again!

Driveway hockey

Karson and his friends decided they wanted to play hockey so they all found brooms, broken mops and whatever else they could find for hockey sticks. They used cones for the goals and a ball as the puck. They played it for a couple days, then moved on to something else. I love that they had imagination to come up with that stuff to play with. Now onto summer where they'll have LOTS of chances to do that!

Paityn's Pre School Program

Paityn had her preschool program last week. They each had a letter to say, nursery rhyme to share, and they showed their names in sign language. Most of you know that Paityn is not shy. Karson's Track Meet

Karson had his first school track meet a couple weeks ago. He competed in the 100meter dash, 400 meter, and the long jump. He did pretty good in the long jump. The races on the other hand he saw that kids were ahead of him so he kinda quit running! Made me so mad! It really bothers me when kids give up! Oh well, it was a learning experience for us all! Maybe next year Karson!

Baseball

Well baseball season is finally over! Don't get me wrong, I loved going to the games, but we are in need of a break from extra activities and running around. Lainee was still in T-Ball and did a great job! Very rarely did she have to hit from the tee. This was Karson's first year in the minor leagues where they pitch themselves. Of course, he had to be the pitcher. He did pretty good! Let's just say he has some practicing still to do! There were times where he'd get so mad at himself for not doing good that it showed on the field. When he wasn't pitcher he mostly played 3rd base. They only won one game, sad! But oh well, good job Karson and Lainee! Now on to a summer filled with lots and lots of swimming!

We had the Brown family easter egg hunt at my house again this year. The kids had fun painting the easter eggs and then hunting for them. It's always nice to have family around the spend the holidays with. On easter morning, the easter bunny sent us all on a hunt for our baskets. He left clues at each one that led to the next basket. Brandon was running up and down the stairs with the camera trying to capture all the fun! The kids loved it! We loved having grandma and grandpa stay with us for Easter! Later that day we went and had dinner at grandma and grandpa McMullin's house with all of our cousins. It was a fun weekend!

Max is growing so fast, it's kind of sad. He is already 4 months old and he has two teeth. We all just love him so much and are so happy he's in our family. Lainee is like a little mother to him, always holding him and helping me out. Karson helps out a lot in the car when he needs to be fed and entertained. We had a party for Karson and Paityn with the family at the park. They had fun playing with their cousins and on the playground. We got Paityn a bike, she loved it! The other day we went out and flew kites with our friends. The kids LOVE flying kites, well when they fly of course. Sometimes they get a little frustrated when the wind isn't blowing just right, but there were alot of good windy moments. Why is it that the cheap kites fly really well, but the expensive ones don't?! Anyways, they had a good time!

Baseball

Brandon has been teaching Karson to pitch. Anyways, to help him he drew a batter with a strike zone on the wall in the back yard. It was pretty genius! Karson is doing really good. Let's just see how he does with a real person there! The season starts in a couple weeks!

Ice Skating

We took the kids ice skating a couple of weeks ago over spring break. They had so much fun! It took Karson a little while to catch on....he had to push the stroller around until he got the hang of it. Lainee did pretty good because she's been riding her rollerblades alot and it's pretty much the same thing. Paityn pushed around some buckets so we didn't have to hold on to her the whole time. I'm not a good skater at all, so I had the stroller when Karson didn't. Lets just say that Brandon had a little bit of skill. He had the help the kids most of the time! It was way fun! Hopefully we can go again when they reopen it in the fall!

Karson's Basketball

Well basketball season is over and the boys only lost 2 games, they did great! Karson got better and better each game. On his last game he stole the ball about 6 times! Way to go Karson and way to coach Brandon! We had an end of season party at Pirate Island Pizza, I think the kids had a great time! Now, on to baseball!

Karson's Tabernacle Performance

Karson performed at the Tabernacle with his schools choir and a couple of other elementary schools. He's enjoyed being in Sunset Express, but he's kind of getting burned out from it and wishes it was over. He only has one more performance left and he's done for the year. Great job Karson!

Karson in the NBA

So, Karson recently told us that he wants to play basketball in the NBA when he grows up. Naturally I tell him that he needs to practice all the time to keep getting better and better. His dad on the other hand says that only a few people ever make it to the NBA, which is true, but basically says that it won't happen (dream shatterer ;0). I say if you work hard, then anything is possible. Karson loves basketball and he's doing pretty good. Keep it up Kars and maybe you'll be the next LeBron James!

Max's Baby Blessing

Max was blessed a couple weeks ago in church. Brandon did a really good job and gave Max a fantastic blessing. I am so grateful to have a husband who holds the priesthood and can give our kids blessings any time they need them. We are so thankful for all of our family members who came to support us. That same weekend we got to attend my niece Cierra's baptism. So it was a great New Years weekend with the fam!

Christmas

Christmas this year was great! The kids all got stuff that they actually wanted and will play with and use. We went to McMullin's house for Christmas Eve and had a party over there and of course, grandma and grandpa spoiled the kids. Christmas day was great, the kids didn't wake up until like 7:30, it was great! The day after we went up to Parowan to the Brown's and had a party up there. The kids had fun playing with their cousins and playing the old game "Do you love your neighbor". We used to play that every year out our family party growing up, so much fun. Anyways, we are so grateful for having such a wonderful christmas and wonderful family to share it with.

Max Ryan McMullin

Max was born on Wednesday, November 18th at 7:19 am. He weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz. He was such a big boy that they had trouble pulling him out during the C-Section. He had a little problem breathing so they admitted him to the NICU where he spent 4 days. He had little sacs that were still full of fluid so he was on a CPAP and had to have medication put into his lungs. He is doing really good now. His brother and sisters love him so much and were sooooo excited to see him when we got home. Since then, they can't get enough of him, especially Paityn. She has already tried to carry him by herself (you turn your back for one minute, geez), and I told her not to, not yelling at her, but she felt really bad and started to cry and went to her room. I feel soooo bad because I know she just wants to be there by him ALL the time and love him. Well we love him so much and are so happy to have him as the FINAL member of our family. We love you Max, welcome to the family!

Halloween

The kids looked great in their costumes! Karson was Zombie Slash, Lainee was a Zombie Bride and Paityn was a ballerina. Karson scared his cousin Hudson with his costume, he was pretty scary. Friday they had their parade at school and I helped with Lainee's class party. Paityn had a class party and her friends had a little halloween party at their house, so fun! Saturday rolled around and we went to soccer games and a football game. After that, it was time for trunk or treat at the church (at 4), kind of early. The kids saw that other kids were going around more than once, so they did too. After that we went around the neighborhood with some friends (the walk around the block brought on some contractions). This one house had a haunted house on the side of their house that ended in the garage, it was awesome! The girls screamed and Karson about tore my shirt off. We then headed to Grandma and Grandpa McMullin's house and they did a little bit more trick or treating. They got sooooo much candy, I'm giving most of it away as little treat bags for Karson's football team. All in all it was a great halloween! Until next year!t

Vocal Recital

The girls just had their vocal recital last friday, they did so great! They each sang their own solo! Lainee sang "Old Dan Tucker" and Paityn sang "Tomorrow". They were so cute and did a really good job! Way to go girls!

Pinewood Derby

Karson participated in his first Pinewood Derby a couple weeks ago. Brandon shaped the car and Karson painted it and put on the decals. His car looked pretty awesome, and amazingly enough was pretty fast (glue got in the wheels). It was so fun to watch his excitement as his car raced each time. He loved it and had so much fun!

Snow Canyon Football

Karson started playing tackle football this year! It's tough because they practice three times and week and they don't get much time to play with friends after school. At first he didn't like it, but he's liking it more and more each week. He plays defensive end (he's number 53) and he's getting more and more aggressive each week. His last game they played Desert Hills and he recovered a fumble. We were SO proud. He did awesome. He only has 3 more games left then onto basketball! Good job buddy!

Paityn and Lainee's Soccer

Lainee and Paityn have been playing soccer for the last month or so and are doing great! Lainee is really aggressive and gets in there and plays really well. This is Paityn's first year, so she's a little less into it. At there last games, Lainee scored 2 goals and Paityn scored one! They are so fun to watch! Good job girls!

School Days

Well the kids finally started school, YAY! It's been a long summer and I'm so glad to have them back so they can actually learn something and not just play computer or watch tv all day. Karson is in 3rd grade this year and his teacher is Mrs. Barton. He wasn't too excited to go back, but he'll realize school is way more fun than being home with mom. Lainee is in 1st grade and goes all day now. She's adjusting well and enjoys school. She has two teachers, one in the morning and one in the afternoon (they are Mrs. Woodland and Mrs. Page). I've started letting them walk to school and they love it. It's a win win situation for us all. Paityn started pre-school today and when she got there her teacher, Miss Dianne, gave her a hug and kiss and her little friend Naomi gave her a big hug. I thought she wouldn't want to go, but she went right in and started to play. I am so thankful for good teachers who are willing to teach our children. Here's to a good school year!

Ultrasound at 24 weeks

I went and got another Ultrasound yesterday at 24 1/2 weeks. It's our last one, so why not. He was so cute, they got a few good pictures but it was hard to get his face really good because the placenta was in the way. Here are some of the good ones we got!

Scouts

Karson is in cub scouts and recently earned his Bobcat Badge. A tradition we have in our ward is when it's your first time at Pack Meeting they let the other scouts and leaders paint your face. Camping with friends

A couple of weeks ago we borrowed my dads trailer and went camping with some of our neighbor friends up at Yankee Meadows. We had alot of fun. We went fishing (I bought some cheap fishing stuff, not a fisherman),we didn't catch anything, but one of the neighbors let Karson reel in a fish that they caught. Our other neighbors had a fishing boat and gave all the kids rides in it. We all pretty much just hung out and talked, played a few games. Definetly something we want to do again.

Lainee & Paityn's performance

Lainee and Paityn took singing and acting the last month for a month long workshop. They had alot of fun. They did a performance showing off what they learned and they did a great job! Lainee was in a short play in which she played the Pretty Pig in the 3 Little Pigs. She did a really good job and had all her lines memorized. It was so loud in there that you couldn't really hear her. She also was in a musical number about the old lady who swallowed a fly. She did great! Paityn's class sang "Seize the Day" from Newsies. It was so cute because she was doing all the little actions that went with the song. They both did a really good job, and we are proud of them for having courage to get up and perform in front of people and doing so well. Till next recital! 4th of July

On Friday night we went to the Roadrunners baseball game.....man, it was a long one. We mainly went because they were doing fireworks afterwards. Pretty much the whole game the kids were running around getting autographs from the mascots. Paityn was the only good one who stayed where she was supposed too. The fireworks didn't start until like 10:30 or so, but it was worth the wait. They were set to the music of Michael Jackson. It was a pretty good fireworks show. On saturday we went and had a BBQ and swam at grandma and grandpa McMullins house. After that we had a few family members come to our house for fireworks. All the kids had fun......except Paityn, she does not like fireworks and decided to watch from inside the house.

Ultrasound Pictures at 16 weeks

I just got back from an early ultrasound and it confirmed that we are having a boy. Yay, we are so excited, that's just what we wanted. Now we'll have 2 girls and 2 boys. Perfect! I'm only 16 weeks so the baby was tiny but here are some pictures, see if you can decipher what your looking at!

Karson's Baseball

Well baseball is officially over now, he had his last game last week. He did really good and was on a great team with great coaches (Brandon was one). They would switch positions in the outfield after every batter so they got a turn playing everywhere, which at first I thought was weird, but turned out great. It kept them focused more and not just messing around. Karson did really well at batting. His grandpa got him this big barrell Nike bat and alot of kids used it. One of the teams complained because we were hitting so good and blamed the bat. Anyways, good job this year Karson!

Grandma & Grandpa Stanley

We went to Salt Lake a couple weeks ago for the blessing of my sister Wendy's baby Bella. While we were there we went and visited Brandons grandparents who live in West Valley. His grandpa is like 93 years old and is in excellent shape. His grandma has had some health problems, but is doing good now! I'm glad that he has grandparents that are still living to visit...I wish I did. Anyways, his grandpa and grandma used to sing on the radio back in the day, her name was "Prairie Rose". They had a band and he played the guitar and she would sing. He let Karson play his Hawaiian guitar (sounded like spongebob songs) and let the other kids play his other guitars, they loved it! Well we love them and wish they lived closer!

Easter weekend

Easter weekend was a little crazy at my house. We had 2 egg hunts, a baptism, a sick uncle in the hospital (who passed away on tuesday morning), and a confirmation. Lots of people in and at. It was alot of fun though. Saturday morning we went to McMullin's and had an Easter egg hunt. It was raining so we had to wait a little while for it to stop before we could do the hunt. Karson had a ton of eggs in his basket so I made him re-hide some. They had a lot of fun doing that. Brandon's aunt and uncle were down with some of their kids so it was good seeing them for awhile. We then came home and had the Brown egg hunt at my house. There was so much candy there and all Paityn was grabbing was the candy....needless to say, it was worse than halloween. On Sunday, the easter bunny was pretty clever.....he hid the baskets and the kids had to follow the clues to find them. They were pretty excited! We had dinner with the Brown family at my house after the confirmation. It was yummy! Thanks mom! Oh, Wendy also came down with her new baby, way cute!

Karson and Lainee are both playing baseball this year, so needless to say, we'll be living at the ballpark. Lainee had two games last week. She did really good, we just need to work on hitting the ball without the tee. She was more focused at this age then Karson was. Karson also played, I wasn't able to go but Brandon said he hit and ball and it went clear to the fence. He only made it to 2nd base when he could've had a homer...I guess we need to work on some base runnin'. I'm so proud of my kids and their willingness to get out and play sports. I used to love it as a kid, so I hope they do to. Good luck this season kiddos'.

Karson's Baptism

Karson got baptised on Saturday. It went really well. Him and all those getting baptised this year in his primary sang a baptism song, they did really good. Karson was a little nervous to go into the water but when he came out he wasn't scared anymore. He thought it was pretty cool that he was last and got to pull the plug to the font. Alot of our family members were able to attend and thanks for supporting Karson, that meant alot. He got confirmed the next day on Easter sunday in sacrament meeting. Brandon did a really good job on the blessing. I'm so lucky to have a priesthood holder in our home. Love you Brandon and Karson!

Karson's Birthday Party

So last friday Karson had a combined bday party with his friend Ethan, whose bday is on the same day. I had it all planned out that they would come over and do army tasks, go to the neighbors and do some more, then come back and watch a movie outdoor with the projector. Well, the weather didn't like that plan too much so we had to nix the whole idea and take the kids to see Monsters vs. Aliens. Brandon took them with the neighbors, and the kids loved it! I gave them all candy and popcorn buckets before they left that had camo fabric tied to it. They all came back with camo headbands on, it was way cute. Anyways, it ended up being a great party! Thanks Steph for helping out!

Julianne Hough Concert

On Thursday, Brandon and I went to the Julianne Hough concert. She is absolutely amazing, plus gorgeous. Brandon was getting a kick out of this kid on the front row who was acting like a total idiot. She did a great job. At one point her keyboardist started playing a song and he kept playing and she turned around to the audience and said "ok I'm just going to admit it, I forgot the words". She started again and sang the wrong words, then she finally said "k I'm just going to skip that song." She was laughing at herself. She just has a cute personality. She ended up remembering the words when she came back out to do some encore songs. The warm up bands were pretty good to. They were the Travis Marshall (Topham) band, and Eric Dodge. Oh, on our way there, we saw a motorcycle accident....the bike was smashed up, there was a shoe, and then about 20 feet away there was a guy....no helmet, with a bunch of people around him. A few minutes later the Police arrived as well as the Fire Department. I hope he's ok, there wasn't anything in the paper about it. All in all it was a good night, besides seeing that!

Paityn's Strawberry Shortcake Party with Friends

So on Saturday afternoon I gave Paity a party with some of her friends. I started by reading "Meet Strawberry Shortcake". When we meet each new friend we did a different activity (ex. Angel Cakes Cakewalk). The kids had a lot of fum I think. Although, they did have a hard time sitting and listening to who we would meet next. I don't think I'll do any more parties for kids this young, although it was fun.

Paityn

Paityn will be be turning 3 on Sunday. I can't believe is't been that long since I had her. She is so funny, cute and everyone loves her. She is a little crazy sometimes though. She loves to sit on things and hang upside down, fall asleep in weird spots, and yes still isn't potty trained (we'll get there). She goes to Toddler Time with Miss Dianne, a friend that used to be in our ward and loves it. Whenever I have to go pick her up, she never wants to leave. I wonder how she does for the other moms in the carpool. Anyways Paityn we love you and are so glad you came to us.

Twilight

OK better late than never right?! I'm officially on the Twilight bandwagon. I haven't read the books or anything, but I did just finish watching the movie. Now I'll have to go read the book to find out what happens next. It was way better than I thought it'd be. It left me wanting more, and I just was soooo into Edward and his stares. HA! Anyways, can't wait for the next movie to come out!

Baby No. 4 on the way

We just found out that we are expecting our fourth (and final) child. We are excited! I wanted to wait at least 3 months to tell people but Brandon can't keep a secret and just yelled it out at his family BBQ. I knew I shouldn't have told him, he can't keep a secret, especially when he's excited about something. I know, most of you are thinking they don't have any money for a child right now and let me tell you, I'm thinking the same thing. Good thing for Medicaid I guess, until Brandon finds a job anyways! I'm due on November 26th, which is Thanksgiving day! Well good luck to me I guess!

Dixie Red Hills

We took the kids up to hike the dixie last saturday. It was a ton of fun. It has lots of places to hike and eat. We took sack lunches and ate upon the rocks. We took them to the narrows and I got claustrophobic and made Brandon take them through. Come to find out, Brandon couldn't fit, so the kids went up themselves (Karson & Lainee). They had a ton of fun.

Karson is getting better and better at each game. He's not very aggressive and a little unconfident, but he's improving each time. It's so hard to watch when he gets down on himself. yet it's fun to watch him when he's excited about being there and he tries harder. Keep up the hard work Kars, we love ya. Good Job!

Brianhead

The kids and I headed up to Brianhead on Saturday after Karson's basketball game. We stayed until Monday. The kids had so much fun playing in the snow, tubing, going for rides, and playing the Wii with their cousins. Paityn didn't like tubing too much, but she LOVED going for rides on the snowmobile. It was alot of fun!

Happy Valentines Day, a little late! Hope you all had as much fun as we did! I am one of the room moms for Karson's class. I went and helped out. We played some games and ate doughnuts. He made his valentines box, spongebob, the night before. It turned out great!

Today we went and had lunch with Karson for "Eat lunch with your sweetheart day". We got Wendy's and the whole family ate with with our little sweet boy Karsy. It's always fun to go and be with them in their environment. After that we went outside amd let the kids play. Karson played soccer with some boys and I saw a little girl run up to him and give him a hug (this is the same girl that was in his class last year and was always hugging him). Later I went back to school to help with Lainee's class party. I did a cupcake cake walk. The kids had fun!

The worst feeling EVER

Well we ended up taking the dog back. Ever since we got him yesterday my eyes have been itchy and I've had an itchy throat, Brandon too. Lainee also said that she had itchy eyes. What can I say...we just won't be able to have a dog. I feel so bad. Karson and Lainee just bawled and bawled for so long. When we took the dog back, Brandon took the kids in and showed him how happy he was to be back with his mom and brother. I feel better knowing that CoCo ran to his mom and started eating from her and playing with his bro. While he was here he wasn't eating very well and just wasn't very happy, he just laid around and slept alot. The lady said we could go back and visit any time. While I waited in the car I just bawled...not because the dog, (even though he was way cute and cuddly) but because I felt so bad for the kids. I'm such a bad mom to give them that and then take it away. It's the worst feeling in the world to make your kids sad like that. Now we have all this dog stuff we need to sell cuz' I don't think the pet store will take it back even though it was only used for a day! If anyone needs a small dog carrier, pet food, or cozy bed...let me know!
